If your injuries don’t appear until days after the accident, then you’re just like most people we find time after time. People get hit and they think they’re OK. They tell the officer, “I’m just fine” and over the next 48 to 72 hours, that’s when the swelling sets up and people that thought they weren’t hurt, it turns out they’re hurt, and hurt bad, and have lifetime injury. So it’s critical that you go in and you see the doctor within the first time that you start experiencing symptoms so they can document those injuries. If you don’t, the insurance company is going to say, “Well, they weren’t hurt, or they would have gone in to see a doctor before 2 weeks after the wreck”, and your claim is over before you get started.
